The annual Sub-Global Assessment Network Meeting was held in Bilbao during December 12-15
More than 7 0 worldwide experts meet up in Bizkaia Aretoa, University of the Basque Country (in Bilbao), on December 12th to 15th 2011 with the help of the Biscay Sub-Global Assessment, known as The Millennium Ecosystem Assessment in Biscay (EEMBizkaia) , which is part of the Sub-Global Assessment Network.

Presentation of the Book "Bosques del Mundo" |

 The cultural centre Pozokoetxe (Basauri) will hold the presentation of the book “Bosques del mundo, cambio climático y Amazonía” on Wednesday, October 26, at 19:00.
In the event, organized by Basauri Town Council, the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development and Environmental Education of the University of the Basque Country and the associations Amassunu and Asocolvas, international experts will discuss the current state of the forest ecosystems in the planet.

Postgraduate UPV/EHU degree (2011-2012) |

"Expert in Environment and Sustainability"
The UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development and Environmental Education, together with the UPV/EHU Vegetable Biology and Ecology Department are offering the third edition of the postgraduate UPV/EHU degree for the academy year 2011-2012.
This postgraduate degree “Expert in Environment and Sustainability” has been acknowledge with 30 credits and it will be imparted at the University of the Basque Country Science and Technology Faculty (Leioa campus), from October 2011 to June 2012 (afternoons, from 16.00 to 20.00).
The course will be held in Spanish.

 En el marco del I Congreso Internacional Los Caminos de la Sustentabilidad/Sostenibilidad. Experiencias innovadoras, que se celebrará del 15 al 17 junio en el Bizkaia Aretoa (Abandoibarra, Bilbao), el Vicerrectorado de Responsabilidad Social y Proyección Universitaria de la Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU) ha organizado un Concurso de Comunicaciones (en formato póster) que recoja trabajos que tomen como objeto de estudio la sostenibilidad en la Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU).
