Lazzarotti" Subject: Jupiter 20040616 -experimental image- Hi all, Here attached my very first image taken with an "unconventional CCD camera". My new love is named LU075M and it's produced by Lumenera. It's a 1/3" CCD camera capable of long exposuring, 2x2 binning, 10 bit of real dynamic but also hi-speed uncompressed videos and frames grabbing through the USB 2.0 port that does supply it, too. No cooling there but thermal noise is extremely low even when integrating 1-2 minutes! Jupiter - In spite of its low altitude and diameter, the poor/fair seeing and daylight conditions this well promising camera has taken an interesting image showing a lot of unexpected details, the BA next to interact with the GRS and a large irregularity in the NEB. Hope to be able to capture other images in the following days. -- Ad astra per semper. v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v eng. Paolo R.
