> From: "Brian Colville" Subject: Jupiter March 22 & 24 Date: Tue, 30 Mar 2004 21:39:35 -0500 Hello everyone... A bit slow getting these out, but I have attached images from March 22 and 24. The March 22 images were taken with the 30cm SCT @f30 using the ATK-1HS camera and Schuler Luminance, Red, and Blue filters. Seeing was good, but strong gusty winds prevented me from capturing any longer exposure shots with the IR/Methane/UV filters. The images from March 24 used the 30cm SCT @f30 with the ATK-1HS camera using the IR/Methane/UV filters. I used the ToUcam Pro to grab the RGB images, but a slightly shorter f ratio. Seeing was moderately good, 6/10. I used my flip mirror to switch the light path between the two cameras which works well, allowing a faster sequence capture and the use of the ToUcam reduced the number of filtered exposures to make the colour shots. All images were captured with K3CCD and processed with Registax2. The Luminance, Red and Blue images were composited from the best 1000 of 1600 frames (60sec clip). The IR/Methane/UV images were the best 80 of 100 frames - .5sec IR, 3 sec Methane and 1 sec UV. Questions and comments are welcome as always.
