Rogers" Subject: SEBs spot into GRS, 2003 March Hi everyone, Damian Peach has pointed out that there is also a good record of another SEBs jetstream spot entering the Red Spot Hollow, in March. The event was covered in Damian's own images which I have supplemented by those from other observers. Unlike the well-formed oval spot in April, this one seems to have been a small cluster of tiny spots, retrograding quite fast. (Its approach to the GRS can be seen in my previous montage of hi-res images of the GRS, with STBn waves, up to Feb.23.) It entered the Red Spot Hollow on March 3. On March 5 the spot was invisible although there was some disturbance of the N edge of the Hollow where it must have been. It reappeared as a dark spot on March 6, and reached the f. end of the Hollow on March 9, after which it was distorted and destroyed. Best wishes, John _________________________________ John H.
