Hello all

Finally hit upon a bit of good seeing, at least for my region, and captured
respectable images of the great gaseous ones with a 15cm
Maksutov-Cassegrain and Astrovid 2000 recording to Hi8.

Say, does anyone know anything about the break in the South Temperate Belt
visible in my Jupiter image (upper left)?  It almost appears to be a large,
light spot, but that can't be right.

Hi Jim,

Here are some recent images which show that possible new STZ oval.
There is a rather bright oval, indeed, but probably not a true
anticyclonic oval as it is not methane-bright.
