From: "David Dockery" Date: Sat, 19 Jan 2002 09:56:40 -0700 Subject: [aslcnm] Jupiter GRS transit last night Hi All, I managed to capture a marginal image of Jupiter last night between wind gusts. The seeing was poor but I wanted to try and get something on the GRS BA oval interaction that's taking place now. If you squint your eyes and hold your breath long enough you can see the BA oval as a blurred shape to the left and up from the GRS (at least I think that's it.) This image is a compilation of 100 stacked frames taken with a 10" SCT @ f/10, 3x Barlow, and Vesta 680 webCam at 320x240 res. About 250 total frames were taken at 9:59 MST over the course of about a minute. There's another transit tonight about sunset and if the seeing is any better, I'll try again.
