Subject: Jupiter images (Oct 31st, 2002)

Hi all,

Here are some images from the 31st. Note the bright
clouds erupting f. the GRS in I band. Also, quite
distinct in visual. These were also easily seen
visually at 350x.

12" (30.5 cm) Meade SCT @ f/29.1. SBIG ST-5c camera.
SBIG RGB Filter set.

Total Exposure Times:

Integrated Light: 28 x 0.21 secs
Red Light: 1 x 0.40 secs
Green Light: 1 x 0.40 secs
Blue Light: 1 x 0.40 secs

Seeing initially good (6-8), but deteriorated to poor (1-3.) later.
Transparency very good (5.0mag.)
No wind. Light dew

Equatorial Diam= 36.5"
Altitude=48 degs.
