> From CPAJohnM@aol.com Tue Nov 20 20:40 MST 2001 From: CPAJohnM@aol.com Date: Tue, 20 Nov 2001 22:40:40 EST Subject: A.L.P.O. Jupiter ALERT ALERT 2001 November 20 A high resolution CCD image taken by Ed Grafton of Jupiter on 2001 November 19, reveal small, white ovals or portholes in the NEBn. These features are very distinct; and, at first glance, remind one of the small ovals in the SSTB. The NEBn ovals were located at CM2 (L2) 58 deg, 86 deg, and 116 deg, respectively, on 2001 November 19. Jupiter observers are asked to track and image/sketch these ovals and make transit timings so that the ovals' positions, drift rates, and morphology may be monitored. Our gratitude to Ed Grafton. And, to all on the Jupiter Net, "Keep up the good work!" ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// John W. McAnally The A.L.P.O.
