The attached images show a very large feature in the blue, with some
correlation to parts of it in the red (in particular the upper left end
of the feature).  Another blue image taken 20 minutes later had the
identical structure.  These images are composits of a few hundred video
frames, re-registered and high-pass filtered.  I have not seen anything
like this in images of Jupiter before, but I am not thoroughly familiar
with what to expect, especially in a blue image.  Has anyone else
reported a transient event that might explain what is happening?

The images were obtained with a 10" LX-200 under very poor seeing
conditions. The sensor was a B&W video camera with an IR-blocking
filter and red, green and blue filters.
