>From a.cidadao@mail.telepac.pt Fri Apr 13 10:07 MDT 2001 Date: Fri, 13 Apr 2001 16:39:04 +0100 From: Antonio Cidadao Subject: jupiter data (Mar/Apr) 1 of 2 Hi all, Seeing conditions have not been good around here and spare time to process images has also been scarse. Therefore, I invested my available time to obtain raw images. I'm using the Easter period to get things in order (wishfull thinking? :-)). This message contains attached a group of March images, and will be followed by another containing some April files. Hope to send you shortly the remaining March, Feb and April data files. Still need to try to make a precise correlation of IR and Methane images, but: - the NEB wavy pattern remains in methane images - BA is seen on Mar18 and Apr11 - a small STZ white oval (L2~140) is seen on Mar22 and Apr1,3 - NEBn barges are seen on various images, sometimes associated with bright clouds (e.g. Mar 19, Apr1) - EZn seems to be "yellower" than the "s" counterpart - the periphery of the GRS semms to be inhomogeneously bright (e.g. Mar22) Have not seen a clear indication of the "equatorial dark feature observed" by Don Davies. A recent newsgroup message refers that observation to Mar19 between 3:30 to 4UT (about L1=290 and L2=124). Is this correct? These longitudes were imaged in the Mar22 file. Still have to confirm if I grabed these longitudes before Mar16. Anyway... the UV image obtained on Mar 22 does show a region of the NEB-EZ interface that is darker..., at about L1=302 and L2=114... Regards to all and good observations Antonio
