>From a.cidadao@mail.telepac.pt Tue Apr 24 13:19 MDT 2001 Date: Tue, 24 Apr 2001 20:13:11 +0100 From: Antonio Cidadao Subject: Jupiter data (Feb24 and Apr23) Hi all, Here are two more Jupiter image data obtained about 2 months apart (Feb24 and Apr 23). Both images show BA, but oval Z is only near CM on Feb 24 image. Is BA slightly more conspicuous than recently or is it just a seeing effect? The South Equatorial disturbance is well seen in Feb24 images, including methane (18:56UT). Please also notice the very dark, in IR, and elongated "hot spot" bluish region at NEB-EZ interface (near CM on the 18:50UT IR image). This dark feature (as well as the other dark festoon that follows it; near CM in the 20:41UT IR image) slightly indents the EZ "methane-bright haze". Near the p limb of the Apr23 images a NNTB dark sector is seen, as are some "barge-associated" bright clouds in NEB. More to come... Regards to all and good observations Antonio
