Subject: Finally "Back" at it

Hello Friends,

   I decided to get back out after a frustrating hiatus for the past 3 months
on Jupiter.  This was one of those nights in which very few things went right,
proving that you have to keep doing this stuff to stay in practice.  Oh well.

  By the way, I am finally an ALPO member!  I was able to join in a very
interesting manner.   I gave my membership dues to Walter Haas himself, in Don
Parker's study, from which hi-res planetary CCD imaging was introduced to the
amateur community.  I was very honored, to put it mildly.

   All my best to all, and I apologize for my long detachment.
